How I Taught Myself Website And Made Money

This is a live story of how I taught myself website design and made my first made money. In case you don’t have a sponsor; you can get this lucrative skill now for free. I was wondering how one can make money with website design services without paying to learn it.

Before I finally decided, 2 thought ran through my mind on how to raise money to learn website design and how do I make money with it. 

Well! I went to a nearby computer training centre to make an inquiry but was told to pay N30,000 excluding hosting training.

First Part:

I went to Google to search for the keyword “how todesign a website for free” and got an eBook that thought me the step by step ways to design a website. I thoroughly followed it to the end and paid for hosting with smartweb.com.ng.

Thereafter, I installed WordPress and applied what I have read on that eBook. I was amazed at what I saw when I hit publish button.

2 things almost got me discouraged:

I was thinking that I was wasting my hard gotten money in café for ticket 
I thought that I was duped when I paid for my domain and hosting since most people believe that everything on the internet is a scam especially when it involves paying money to someone you are not seeing face to face.

But I was able to overcome my fears by taking a risk no wonder it is said that “take a risk and join the millionaires”.

Second Part:

How I make money with website design

When I was sure I have successfully launched a website for the first time that attracted good comment, I went and printed advert banners that attracted clients’ attention.

I charged very cheap though with fear of being faced with technical questioned but none came. My first client was very happy with his site and that arouse my moral to go for more.

I designed to more people and make more money. Today I may not say that I ‘m a perfect designer but no client has disliked my job till now.

I also make money teaching people how to design church, school, hotel, ecommerce or any business website. My students are scattered all over Rivers State and beyond.

This is one way to pay yourself if you want to make money fast as a self-started.
